my story
I knew I wanted to be a therapist since I was 16.
But I spent 10 years in marketing, because I didn't think I could make a good living as a therapist. I worked my way up to marketing agency director, building brands, websites and campaigns.
When I finally decided to go back to grad school, I made myself one promise.

Who is Emily Dubbe?
Emily Dubbe is a marketing coach for therapists based in Santa Cruz, California. She spent 10 years in marketing, including as a marketing agency director, and now teaches therapists in private practice how to run their own marketing through Therapist Marketing.
Are you a therapist?
I'm a therapist in training, currently earning my MA in Integrative Psychology. I don't provide therapy through Therapist Marketing. My work here is marketing coaching and website design for therapists.
Do you work with therapists outside California?
Yes. I'm based in Santa Cruz, California, and I work with therapists across the United States online.
Why learn my own marketing instead of hiring an agency?
An agency can cost thousands of dollars a month, and the marketing often stops when the payments stop. When you learn the fundamentals yourself, you own your website, your messaging and your systems, and you can keep growing on your own.
Do I need to be good with technology?
